Webmail is a web based e-mail service that enables you to read, write and send e-mails from wherever you are in the world, as long as you have a computer with internet access.
Why use webmail?
Webmail is very useful for people who travel a lot, for people who are out of office and for those who want to read their work mail at home. The only thing you need is a computer with internet access, an e-mail address and a password.
Another advantage is that you don’t have to use e-mail programs like Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora.
You may now organise your e-mail just by using your browser.
To log on to your e-mail account, write your e-mail account where it says username. Then write the password we have sent you.
Your webmail only shows the e-mails that are on our server. If you have downloaded e-mails on a computer by using an e-mail programme, these e-mails will no longer be available on the server, and therefore no longer available in the webmail.
If you wish to store your e-mails by using both an e-mail program and have them available on your webmail, you will have to make an instruction for this in the e-mail programme you are using. If you use Outlook or Outlook Express, you can find this in the menu Tools -> Accounts. Mark the e-mail account you want to be available and press Preferences. Press Advanced, (the last subject in the pop up window). Check “Leave a copy of the e-mail on the server”, press OK to close the window and Close to close the next window. Now you have made your e-mails available both on the computer and on your webmail.
